Hello Highlanders!

My name is Diya Baskaran, and I will be serving as your Elections Director this year! I am a third-year Political Science/Law & Society major. This will be my second year in the Elections Committee! Last year, I served as the Candidates Officer, working with candidates last cycle with any candidate-related affairs, as well as being in charge of any candidate forms, deadlines, and requirements.

This year, I aim to fulfill two goals: to increase voter turnout and to achieve a more diverse pool of candidates applying for positions in ASUCR. I hope to work with more student organizations on campus in order to achieve this!

If you have any inquiries or would like to find out how to get more involved, I am available at dbask002@ucr.edu. More information will also be available on our Instagram (@asucr_elections). Looking forward to having a great elections this year!
