Office of the International Student Director
Kaity Dong
asucrinternational@ucr.edu
Hey Highlanders! My name is Kaity Dong. I’m a Vietnamese/Taiwanese first generation student majoring in Political Science-International Affairs with two minors in Labor and Asian American Studies. It’s an honor to serve as your International Student Director for the ‘25/’26 academic year, especially since this will be my last year at UCR!
I aim to be an advocate for our international student body and beyond. This past year, I’ve served as your Federal Relations Asst. Director, which gave me the ability to speak with many of you about your concerns regarding challenges your communities face. I’d like to carry and uplift your stories so that they may be heard and these challenges addressed. As students, your primary concerns should lie within the classroom, but I realize that much of our student body is facing problems beyond their control. As your International Student Director, above all else, I’d like to actively work to make your lives and experiences as a student less stressful and more enjoyable.
If you’d like to contribute to my goals in actively improving the student experience on campus, please feel free to reach out to me personally at kdong014@ucr.edu. I’d love to hear from you and work as a team!
