Office of the President
STUDENT VOICE COMMITTEE
Aim to present both what students think the University does strongly and what they can improve on. Our aim is to provide the appropriate leadership and governance to ASUCR to inspire positive change.

LEGISLATIVE REVIEW COMMITTEE
Only Senators sit on this committee. This committee is responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all legislation before moving to the floor of the Senate to be voted on.
Office of the Vice President of Campus Internal Affairs
ACADEMIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Shall execute the quarterly Midterm Test Material Wagon and Finals Snack Wagon initiatives in coordination with the UCR Libraries. Additionally, the Academic Affairs committee is expected to assist with the facilitation of the Associated Students year-round testing material initiative and keep an inventory of all testing materials
DIVERSITY COUNCIL
Shall bring together student representatives found in partnership with UCR’s Ethnic and Gender Programs offices, as well as representatives from the Associated Students of UCR and the Graduate Student Association. Has the authority to make recommendations on changes in policy at UCR, develop action campaigns and proceed with these campaigns with support from ASUCR as well as every participating Ethnic and Gender Programs office and GSA, and review all matters pertaining to the diversity of the campus to ensure that they adhere to and protect the interests of all UCR students.
MENTAL HEALTH COMMITTEE
Serves to spread awareness and bring to light issues pertaining to mental health by assisting the execution of the annual Mental Health Conference.
R’PROFESSIONAL CLOSET
Serves to assist with R’Closet efforts.
Office of the Vice President of External Affairs
LOBBY CORPS
Responsible for engaging UCR students in legislative advocacy by lobbying for student-sponsored legislation, budgets and policies. Led by the Government Relations Director, Lobby Corps seeks to work with legislative officials, coalition partners & advocacy organizations at the state and national levels to support system-wide UC student campaigns, which include funding the UC & basic needs, all while highlighting the barriers and disparities that Riverside students are facing.
HIGHLANDER ACTION COMMITTEE
Responsible for promoting student activism at UCR by organizing and supporting grassroots projects and initiatives. Led by the Campus Organizing Director, HAC aims to create coalitions with student programs & campus organizations, as well as community nonprofits to take action on a wide range of student, community, and system-wide issues, highlighting campaigns like Racial Justice Now and UC workers fight for fair contracts.
CIVIC ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Responsible for organizing and increasing voter registration efforts of UCR students, hosting voter education events on candidates & ballot measures, and promoting election outreach efforts including the statewide Get Out The Vote (GOTV) campaign. Led by the Civic Engagement Director, this committee highlights the importance of increasing voter turnout rates of college students.
CITY RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Responsible for all community collaboration efforts with UCR students as well as increasing student representation in university policy-making and city council governance. Led by the Community Director, this committee strives to make an impact by cultivating a strong community culture within Riverside while bridging students into important local matters.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
Is responsible for approving all ASUCR budgets, campus organization, and allocations that were approved for funding during the budget hearings; compile continuously update a list of all ASUCR committees and committee members and submit to the Executive Director each quarter for recording and eligibility purposes
Office of the Personnel Director
PERSONNEL COMMITTEE
Shall be responsible for compiling monthly reports from the appointed members of the student body to their committees that shall be presented to the ASUCR Senate at least once a month.
CAMPUS SAFETY ALLIANCE COMMITTEE
The objective of this committee is to ensure the safety and peace of mind of all persons on campus. This will be executed by addressing a main focus for the quarter that the committee agrees on. For instance, we will build upon existing safety measures and implement new ones. We will also survey students for their opinions about safety, and work in coalition with other safety organizations/programs on campus.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT VOICE COMMITTEE
The purpose of the committee is to ensure the inclusion and participation of campus-wide activities and academics of international students. Creating an encouraging environment that allows students to become active members of their communities inside and out of the UCR community.
WOMEN’S RIGHTS AND GENDER EQUITY COMMITTEE
This committee will attempt to achieve both external and campus-wide awareness on Gender Equity and Women’s rights issues. They shall work in coalition with the women’s resource center and the LGBTQ resource center in order to decide, in collaboration, how to appropriately address the issues they will be focusing on, as well as promoting more gender-neutral practices.
WE ARE HIGHLANDER PRIDE COMMITTEE
Is committed to the benefit and support student-athletes who represent the University, and to draw more attention to athletics by encouraging students to show up to home and away games on UC Riverside’s campus. Such instruction benefits the student body by ensuring spirit and pride on campus. In addition, the committee will assist in coordinating programs to specifically impact and help student-athletes in preparing for post-college secondary plans.
LABOR COMMISSION COMMITTEE
Responsible for creating meaningful relationships with labor unions on-campus and support any union efforts to ensure fair and just practices for union members are being maintained
Independent ASUCR Committees
ELECTIONS COMMITTEE
Assist the Elections Director during voting season by providing sufficient workers and material for each polling site; Coordinate the different incentives that will be given to students to increase voter participation; Create partnerships with local businesses, services, and non-profit organizations for the purpose of providing said incentives; Oversee election candidates and all other matters relating to candidacy; Provide elections information through social media outlets and on-campus marketing tactics; Work with Student Life Services; Assist with any other tasks pertinent to the ASUCR Elections.
GCAP COMMITTEE
The Green Campus Action Plan (GCAP) is a sustainability program under the Associated Student Body of the University of California-Riverside that is 100% student run. GCAP promotes sustainability through our Green Grants, Large Scale Initiatives, and our Internship programs in order to empower students and departments to pursue sustainability projects of their own.
MARKETING COMMITTEE
Shall help Marketing and Promotions Director with their duties. For example, creating marketing and promotional campaigns that accurately brand ASUCR; maintain a streamlined process which allows other members of ASUCR to request and receive marketing and promotional material; and produce graphics and publications which create a unified aesthetic for
OUTREACH COMMITTEE
Shall coordinate quarterly ASUCR outreach events for middle school, high school, and transfer students. Assist to create an up-to-date guide to promote the UC systems A-G requirements, explain the necessary steps to prepare for college, and provide an overview of UCR/ASUCR.
TRANSFER & NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENT COMMITTEE
Is responsible for creating and updating a resource handout that will be in collaboration with the Transfer Outreach Programs; actively soliciting from the transfer and nontraditional student body information concerning the student needs as they pertain to the transfer student population; Serve as a space to collect the interests and concerns of the transfer and nontraditional student body to ASUCR
